Fubo TV is one of the on-demand services, attracting people who want to “cut the cord” to cable TV altogether. This streaming service is perfect for sports fanatics, especially since it offers more viewing options.

You’re probably here because you want to know whether this service is the right choice for you. It’s true that there are a lot of alternatives out there. Therefore, it’s important that you do research before jumping into cutting the cord with this streaming service.

What is Fubo TV?

Fubo TV is a streaming TV service in Canada that allows you to watch channels live. That means you can live stream various sports games, like the Premier League, and other entertainment channels.

This streaming service offers 3 subscription plans where you can pay monthly, quarterly, or annually. Moreover, you can stream sports games on multiple devices, including smartphones.

Aside from that, you can record your favourite sports games and watch them later. This way, you don’t have to worry about missing shows and events. However, take note that you can only record up to 1,000 hours of storage depending on your chosen paid plan.

What you get from FuboTV

Fubo TV has various types of content to offer, ranging from movies to lifestyle channels based on your subscription plan. However, this streaming service is popular for focusing on channels that distribute live sports.

Many soccer fans love this sports-first streaming service, covering various games like Copa Dudamericana, Serie A, Coppa Italia, Ligue 1, the Canadian Premier League, the Canadian Championship, and more.

But the best part is that this service has the exclusive rights to broadcast all English Premier league (EPL) games in Canada for 3 years, starting with the 2022-2023 season.

Aside from soccer fans, FuboTV also catches the attention of baseball fans. It offers Major League Baseball (MLB) game coverage through the MLB Network.

Other sports you can watch from FuboTV are motorcycle and auto racing,UFC, and Rugby.

Other features

The basic plan only allows you with 250 hours of Cloud DVR storage. Usually, this amount of storage is more than enough for average users.

Aside from that, it has a Lookback feature, which allows you to watch previously aired content for up to 72 hours after the program’s original air time. This is really great especially if you missed a favourite sports game. Moreover, you have the ability to record programs either before or during their airing.

Pros and cons of FuboTV

The service includes great apps and a wide variety of regional sports. However, there are some missing pieces here and there. It’s important that you understand its pros and cons before jumping onto the bandwagon.

Pros of FuboTV

• It covers more regional sports than other services
• Has unique Fubo TV features, especially on Apple TV
• Boasts a user-friendly app
• Allows 10 simultaneous streams per every household
• Has a lot of live news and entertainment networks

Cons of FuboTV

• Doesn’t have TNT and TBS
• It’s a hassle to manage DVR storage
• Its Android TV and Fire TV are worse than other platforms
• No parental control for managing what kids are watching

The bottom line

Fubo TV is one of the most decent options if you’re turning to cord-cutting. It may be one of the most expensive sports streaming services out there, but competitors’ prices are also increasing.

Nevertheless, you can say it’s worth it if you’re looking for a streaming service that offers a lot of channels and storage as well as flexibility brought by add-ons.

However, if you’re a basketball fan, you might see the lack of shows, like TNT for instance. Therefore, it’s important that you know the features that you want before using their paid plans.
