What is Quant?
Quant is an Ethereum-based platform that enhances communication and linkages across different blockchain networks. Quant Network is a piece of software designed to facilitate the establishment of interconnections among various forms of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs). Quant equips businesses and governments with the necessary mechanisms for integrating their services with numerous blockchains and enabling the seamless exchange of information.
The QNT coin is a native cryptocurrency of the Quant blockchain. QNT is an Ethereum token that gives users digital access to a certain application or service. Using Overledger, the Quant network intends to resolve concerns with the interoperability of blockchains. Overledger is an application programming interface (API) gateway that provides support for a number of different distributed ledgers.
Overledger is a brand of corporate software solutions developed by Quant Network. These solutions are designed to link public blockchains and private networks. Moreover, it efficiently connects an application to other applications within the identical blockchain ecosystem.
The Overledger operating system gives developers the ability to create multi-chain decentralized applications (mDApps) that are compatible with several blockchains. Because the Overledger protocol design is composed of four distinct levels, the Quant network is able to accomplish this goal. The transaction layers, the messaging layer, the filtering and ordering layer, and the application layer make up the Overledger protocol design.
The production of mdApps is made possible by Quant Network. These applications allow decentralized programs to run simultaneously on a number of different blockchains.
Who created Quant?
Gilbert Verdian established Quant Network in 2015, and not long after that, the network’s native token, Quant, was launched. During the initial coin offering (ICO) that took place in April 2018, the protocol was able to generate more than $11 million.
Later, in 2017, Colin Paterson and Paolo Tasca became co-founders of Quant. Presently, Gilbert Verdian, CEO of Quant, is also the head of the Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology committee in the United Kingdom. Colin Paterson and Paolo Tasca are now serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategist, respectively, for the company.
In the following years, Paolo Tasca served as an adviser for Quant before going on to assume a number of other responsibilities. Colin Paterson is a specialist in cybersecurity who has had prior jobs at Deutsche Bank and Vocalink, a business that was bought by Mastercard in 2017.
Quant was developed so it can solve various problems associated with Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). Part of the issues the platform attempts to address is that users need a technical means of transferring data across different DLTs and identifying the DLT that best suits their needs. Quant intends to address these problems by developing an interoperable system that can safely and effectively link different DLTs without creating any bottlenecks.
How does Quant work?
The lack of interoperability is part of the problems faced by the distributed ledger technology (DLT) area, and Quant solves this problem. The market now has thousands of DLTs. However, the interoperability of various DLT-based data storage is severely limited. Consequently, this leads to an increased burden for developers and technological hurdles.
By using Overledger, Quant is able to resolve these concerns by linking public and private networks. Thanks to this protocol, communication across many chains may proceed without a hitch. As a consequence of this, software engineers may employ Quant to build apps that are more robust and powerful.
The fact that Quant offers a wide variety of features and advantages sets it apart from the other products on the market. It is designed in a way that any potential technical obstacles to DLT integrations are removed throughout the building process.
The protocol is simple to implement; users do not need prior knowledge of smart contract languages, encryption, or DLT data structures to construct their network, and the interface helps reduce the total level of technical complexity required for the process.
Is Quant a good investment?
Reports from reputable sites such as WalletInvestor indicate that Quant crypto is a solid investment. This is particularly the case when you are wanting to take a long-term plan or approach. WalletInvestor forecasts the price of one QNT will reach $1,877 in the year 2026. If you purchase QNT at its current price of $106 and HODL it for at least five years, the overall value of your portfolio is projected to see significant growth. For the time being, the expansion capacity of Quant is currently unparalleled.
