10 To qualify for the $20 statement credit (“Statement Credit”), the primary cardholder must: (i) register for CIBC Online Banking or CIBC Mobile Banking on or before December 31, 2022 (“Offer End Date”); and (ii) either the primary cardholder or an authorized user on the credit card account must complete at least one qualifying purchase that is posted to the account on or before the Offer End Date using your activated Eligible Cards. Qualifying purchases do not include cash advances, CIBC Global Money Transfer® service, interest, fees, balances transfers, payments or Convenience Cheques. Purchases that are subsequently returned will also not be treated as a qualifying purchase.
This offer is only available to a primary cardholder who held a Costco Mastercard on March 3, 2022 and whose credit card account was subsequently converted to one of the new CIBC Costco Mastercard or CIBC Costco World Mastercard (“Eligible Cards”). CIBC is not liable for any rewards earned by you with Capital One, whether or not CIBC elects to do this.
13 CIBC may elect to credit the Primary Cardholder’s Cash Back Rewards Account with Cash Back Rewards under these Program Terms in an amount equal to any cash back rewards that were earned by you on your account with your previous card between Jan. 1, 2022 and March 3, 2022. CIBC is not liable for any rewards earned by you with your previous card, whether or not CIBC elects to do this. This provision may be changed, withdrawn or discontinued at any time and cannot be combined with any offer.
Once your account is transferred to CIBC on March 4, 2022, CIBC will become the sole owner of your account.
