Certified Pre-Owned (CPO)

What is certified pre-owned (CPO)?

Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Definition: A certified pre-owned item or CPO usually refers to a used or pre-owned vehicle that’s been certified or approved as favorable for resale. CPO goods are required to undergo an assessment to ensure that it operates well so that the customer is guaranteed a certain level of performance and quality.

Certified pre-owned cars, for example, must be inspected before they are refurbished, and any repairs required must be completed before they pass the “test” of becoming sellable for prospective customers. Certification is the result of a successful inspection or determination that a car, technology, or another product is pre-owned but also meets a certain level of quality to sell on the market.
