HD Wallet

What is an HD Wallet?

HD Wallet Definition: An HD wallet, also known as a hierarchical deterministic wallet, is used to store digital keys for individuals storing their cryptocurrencies and digital assets. This is commonly used for Ethereum and Bitcoin, and anyone with a private or public key can access the cryptocurrencies in an account.

Keys need to be randomly generated to back up the wallet. HD wallets allow for a series of keys or key pairs to be generated from one seed, which provides a high level of security, which is convenient and manageable.
