Ommer Block

What is an ommer block?

Ommer Block Definition: Ommer blocks are created two at a time through the Ethereum blockchain, occur simultaneously, and are added to the ledger at around the same time. While only one block can enter the ledger at a time, ommer blocks enter close enough to appear submitted once, though one will be left out of the process.

The leftover block that closely follows the original block is referred to as the ommer block and previously known or referred to as the uncle block because it resembles a connection to the blockchain.
