Do home insurance providers require a credit check?

Most of our vetted insurance providers run a soft credit check to determine the best premium and payment options for you. A soft credit check, as opposed to a hard check, will not affect your credit score.

An individual with a strong credit profile indicates a certain level of responsibility and would be considered a lower risk. In this case, you may be offered home insurance at a lower premium. However, it is worth noting that your credit score will most likely not harm your insurance premiums.
